Michael Phelps in Switch from Pool to Poker?
The 8 times Olympic Gold medal winner Michael Phelps (who is rapidly coming close to owning more gold than the UK given the current financial climate. See our news report on gambling and the recession) is considering a move from the pool to poker. Why? I dunno, but it maybe connected to a recent scandal surrounding his use of recreational drugs and his loss of a lucrative sponsorship with Kelloggs because of it. I never saw the connection between the consumption of Coco Pops and being able to swim fast, but there you go. Anyway, this sudden loss of revenue maybe behind a switch to poker, with his eye firmly on the big multi-million dollar competitions. Lets face it, if he's half as good at the tables as he is in water then we're all in trouble...
If he is going to try his hand at online poker then he will inevitably turn to his good friend, the odd hat wearing (and utter poker legend) Doyle Brunson. Doyle indeed has an online poker room but it's not one we recommend. There are other operators using the same software that, in our opinion, offer you a better poker experience.
