Scotty Nguyen wins another HORSE tournament in LA
Scotty ‘The Prince of Poker’ Nguyen has won another HORSE tournament in LA against a field of great poker players. Famous, or should I say "infamous", for an earlier HORSE win where he proceeded to drink his winnings and insult, well, just about everyone, he managed contained himself this time by sipping mineral water. Unfortunately, there was no repeat performance, which was entertainment of the highest order (because none of the Rough Guide to Poker team were there). Personally, I would have needed a few drinks to cough-up the $50,000 buy-in...
Anyway, Nguyen (sometimes known as Scotty "The Prince" Nguyen) netted a very tidy $343,000 at the LA Poker Classsic in his latest HORSE poker tournament win. His ability to play a number of poker games at the highest level makes him supremely talented to take on and win any HORSE competition, and we're sure we'll hear lots more of him in more tournaments soon (and hopefully him making a fool of himself, too). Incidentally, HORSE stands fo Holdem, Omaha, Razz, Seven Card Stud and Eigh or better Seven Card Stud.
