Sit n Go Tournament Smashed and Pieter de Korver wins EPT Monte Carlo
We're happy, and somewhat astonished, to announce that Bertrand Grospellier has smashed the record for the number of Sit n Go tournaments played at once. Bouncing from table to table, Bertrand - also known as ElKY - managed to handle 62 sit n go tournaments at the same time.
The record was broken in real style, taking place in front of a live audience at the EPT Monte Carlo. Despite having grossed $1,500,000 in his time at the poker felt, his record breaking efforts didn't yield all that much. Bertrand made a grand total of just $23.67 for his record simultaneous poker playing feat.

Pieter de Korver is a happy man. Winner of the final leg of the EPT at Monte Carlo, he took home an eye watering €2,300,000 in prize money. Unbelievably, the total prize pool nearly reached €10,000,000 in what was a record turnout for the event. In fact, it's believed to be the most well attended poker tournament outisde of Las Vegas. Nice one, Monte Carlo.
Pieter won in breath taking fashion, coming back from the brink of bust to keep on doubling up his small stack until he knocked out his opponent. One of the most thrilling games of poker I've ever watched, I hope we see more of this from the EPT in the future.
In other EPT news, Venessa Rousso won the heads-up title and snagged €720,000 for her efforts. So now this girl has both the looks and the funds. Wonder if she's married?...
In totally unrelated, and possibly uninteresting news, Cyclona Gowen is to sue Tiltware LLC. She believes she has a stake in the big poker operator and is prepared to fight for it, even if her argument is based entirely on conjecture, speculation and heresay. Good luck though, Cyclona (what kinda name is Cyclona anyway?)
